A couple weekends ago, a man named Austin I met at a friend’s graduation party stood inches from my face speaking rapidly in Italian.
“Parla l’italiano?” Austin said. He brought the tip of his nose closer to my forehead. The slim man towered over me.
While in the Insight (the student magazine) office on campus yesterday, I talked to Josh, one of the writers and a good acquaintance of mine. Before getting down to business, we talked about his semester last fall in Pau, France, through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC). He talked about his host family, the friends he met, the landscape and the mix of modern and traditional culture in France.
